i gave blood!

so today my anth120 class was only 20 mins. it's supposed to be an an hour and 15 min. but eh. i was surprised when he said, "okay, i guess that's it for today." i think most of us were surprised as well. we thought he'd start the next outline but i guess not.

anyway, since i had time before going to work, i decided to give blood. i was able to. i think eating meat last night helped with my iron and i've learned how to slow down my pulse. only thing is i get a tired and out of breath really easily. mostly probably because i'm 5lbs lighter than the requirement. =P but it's for a good cause and i'll get my blood back soon enough. and it gives me an excuse to not do much and get a yummy dinner. hehe

i got an email today from the Two and a Half Men thing and it said this week's taping is cancelled. greaat.and it said there are no other tapings this week. phooie. it was hard getting those tickets! ugh. if we had gone on the 12th it would've been ok. but no, my dad had to be busy getting ready to go to vegas. oh well.

i have to pick a topic for my japn350 class research paper. first off, those words scare me because i aboslutely suck at researching. second, the word paper turns me off because i suck at writing. third, since i suck at researching, none of the topics are appealing to me. i look at a topic, think it's do-able, think of how i'm going to find information, then think "eh" and move on. T-T
i don't understand why we need to write 5+ pages on anthing. we don't write papers in the real world. we really don't. i don't see how it's helping me now. i only stress and worry.

i hate writing papers.

spring is coming!

it's getting a little bit warmer and i can leave the house without a jacket and not freeze in the daytime!
today is also me and george's 23 months! and next month is our 2 year anniversary! ^____________^
valentine's weekend was fun. on saturday me and george went to the griffith observatory, looked around, watched the show on water [which wasn't as great as the first one we saw], and i bought a book on pluto. i'm actually surprised i bought a book considering i hardly read. but it's on pluto! the little thing, which i imagine to be a purpley orb, that is still a planet dammit. i'm kind of excited for when i'll have time to sit down and read it.
valentine's day we cooked a yummy dinner. tri-tip, mashed potatoes, salad, and bread. oh and apple cider in fancy glasses. it was so good

then we went back to ralphs later and picked up ice cream for dessert.

this week has been okay i guess. school's still tolerable. i figure there's about a month before spring break. i think that's it for the update.

so life won.

but only that round. and i'll still be complaining.

but anyway. i changed my design again! it's PINK! with little hearts all over the place. and a cute little doggie which reminds me of me and my doggie since it has that sweatdrop xD

i won't be going to japan next semester. at least not to waseda. most likely not to osaka or nara either. not through school anyway. if i really wanted to go, i'd have to go through an independent program but even then i don't think i'd have a good chance. the main problem with i got D's in both my japanese classes last year and those teachers won't write me letters of rec. well, one won't. the other just said she won't write a good one because i didn't try. yeah, thanks.
i could try for london, but even then it'd be a stretch. i don't think my gpa is going to let me go anywhere this year.

on a good note, i am most likely going to london for a couple days to visit lily during my spring break! how exciting is that. pretty damn exciting.

i'm also excited for valentine's day =]

a little update

since i've been super lazy to update after every event.

so ALA was pretty fun. first con where i didn't buy a badge so i think we got our money's worth spending time in the hotel room. i even went to the pool for the first time xD amanda let me borrow a bathing suit and the water was heated so it was nice. after ALA me, kelly, amanda, jun and jeremy went to the bridge and then cue. it was a nice weekend.

i honestly don't remember what i did last week. oh i saw Avatar. that was a pretty cool movie. totally reminded me of pocahontas. it'll be fun watching the extras and behind the scenes stuff for it.

monday was me and george's 22 months but we didn't hang out. he went to the conan rally in...i don't know what city. everyone knows what it is. yesterday we went to the Wizards of Waverly Place taping. that was so cool. aside from the annoying, obnoxious teens a couple rows behind us, it was fun. at the end, i even got a picture with jennifer stone since she was super nice and came up into the bleachers where the non-vip people were. i also got a picture with david henry thanks to this nice guy george made friends with in line. we borrowed his camera since we didn't know you could bring in cameras/phones to use after the taping. now we know if there's a second time, haha.

it's been raining like crazy this week. it's always pouring in the morning and then clears up in the afternoon. today it hasn't actually rained yet in carson area. i hope it does though.

my mom's birthday is tomorrow and i need to get her a card. she's one of those people who likes getting cards for any holiday. me and my dad are taking her to dinner on saturday.

i start school again on monday [and i just remembered i need to order my books o_o] and i don't know if i'm looking forward to it. sometimes i wish i didn't have to go to school anymore. i also have to finish my application for japan and i don't know if i want to finish it. it just seems tedious right now and i don't want to sit down and do it. bleh.

i can't believe 2009 is over! i remember a lot of what happened this year. i don't know if it's because i documented it with pictures or because the year felt kind of short. but i can remember something from each month.
january: disneyland with my mom.
february: valentine's day with george making gnocchi and griffith observatory.
march: disneyland for mike's birthday, red robin's for kelly's birthday, formal night.
april: an cafe concert with kelly and amanda.
may: star trek with a bunch of people and fanime.
june: ...i actually can't remember something from this month xD
july: ax of course, barbeque at kelly's, the invasion, working at the warehouse with alberto, kelly, cathy
august: boston, my birthday
september: D23 expo and pink concert with george
october: halloween get togethers
november: pmx
december: hangouts with cathy and new year's eve at disneyland

you get the idea. anyway, i hope to make this year just as memorable [like everyone else is saying] with lots of pictures, hangouts, and of course, disneyland.

i want to try to start something this year. it's an idea i got a couple months ago. i want to take my camera around and take at least one picture a day of something that made me smile and add it to an album i'll make on facebook. i got the idea when i was walking from my car to school one day and saw something someone wrote in the dust of a car that actually made me smile and actually chuckle a little. so yeah. i'll start now, in january, and continue it until the end of the year. let's see if i can =]

ALA is this weekend. i don't think i'm overly excited for it. i was more excited for pmx and i think i had more fun there with the dance and NOIZ. i think ALA will be more chill for me. except for the last day where me and kelly are planning to try and dress up for steampunk sunday. that's about it. bye!

3 more days until new year's...

wow.

so christmas came before it even felt like christmas and now new year's is going to come before i realize the year is ending. dang.
christmas was nice. it was so lazy. me and my parents watched 2 hours of tv then me and my mom started watching the Golden Girls season 1 dvd. we finished one disc that night and now we're on the 3rd disc. then, on to season 2! haha i love that show. later we had dinner, watched Up and that was pretty much it.

i went to disneyland with lily and lauren on the 23rd and had a good time. we laughed a lot and in the car ride home, oh god, me and lauren were dying at lily's expense again. felt like highschool. after lauren went home, me and lily went to dipiazzas to see a highschool friend and his band play. they're like, punk ska i guess. that's what lily said. i can't tell genres to save my life unless it's super obvious. they were pretty good. they're called Chase Long Beach and there are 7 ppl in the band. singer, guitar, bass, 2 trumpet, trombone, drummer. i think they've changed a couple of their members since the leader [i'm assuming] said it was their 7th year together. that's a long time. but they've been touring all of america, europe, it's crazy.

tonight they're playing at HOB in anaheim, opening for Reel Big Fish so me and george are going since i always drag him to my concerts.

new year's eve i'm going to disneyland with a few people. i hope we have fun.

i am super tired right now. i only had about 2 - 2 1/2 hours of sleep. and i'm going to a concert tonight, eep! xD
