Pre-AX

so today is Day 0. and i am freaking tired.

we're not picking up our badges today because george has work and might be late if we pick them up. i'm tired because i have to roll 100 yards of fabric BY HAND with my coworker. i don't know how much we've done so far...maybe close to half if we're lucky. but the roll that's growing is getting heavier and heavier to lift and pull so we're tired. my arms are tired. that is not something you do first thing in the morning when all you've eaten is a slice of bread!
suuure my other coworker asks this to be done like it's SO easy. he always asks things to be done that are much harder than they seem. AND HE DOESN'T OFFER TO HELP!

on the bright side, i think i have freakin cool nails. i did them last night at about 4am. but i think i'm going to have to redo them. i don't know if i can handle it all weekend. i think i can be a little better. but i've never done a design like this and i'm pretty proud. :D

i have so much to do tonight. pretty sure i'll be up really late again packing and finishing up my outfit. and doing my nails because that has to be last. sigh. so exhausted.

official start of summer!

summer is now officially here. sure doesn't feel like it though.

well this weekend was fun again.
saturday was jun's birthday thing at disneyland and dca. me and kelly get there around...11am? don't remember. i'm not gonna go through the whole day since it was so long. we had about 13-14 ppl in our group for most of the day, we had a hilarious flaming skipper on the jungle cruise, a few of us saw these guys who were SO FREAKING TALL. i wish i took a picture with them. we got world of color picnic meals and saw world of color from the boardwalk! we were prepared to get soaked but we barely got wet. the fire felt nice though.
and OMG glowfest. i seriously want to condense all of that and put it in my party bus. it looked SO COOL. colors everywhere, dance music, oh it was so cool. me, kelly and george would've loved to stay there and dance but we had to go back to disneyland to ride space mountain.
i was so tired going back home. my eyes were so heavy and did not want to stay open. i don't even remember getting into bed.

yesterday was a chill day. slept in until 12, had something to eat and then went out on some errands with my mom. when we got home we found nasty ants on our kitchen counter. ugh. WHY are there ants in my house dammit.
that was about it for yesterday, didn't do much.

i really have to start putting together the little accessories for my ax outfit. hopefully i can get started tonight without distracting myself.

Medieval Times & Bikram Yoga

a lot going on the past couple days.

yesterday was medieval times with george, alberto, cathy, benji, and their dad. it was everyone except george and alberto's first time. we were with the yellow knight! he didn't die first, but he died second. unfair because he fought two fights in a row. anyways.
the food wasn't bad. had to eat everything with hands. george was nice and bought everyone color flags to cheer with [and i got the big one ^_^] so we were pretty into it. honestly didn't think i'd be that into it, but it was pretty fun.
we missed taking a picture with the yellow knight because we waited to use the bathroom and after we did he was gone. then we all went to cathy's house, rented Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus from redbox and watched it at her place. it was a good moving. confusing, but good. i still didn't like the ending. it was late so we all went home.

then this morning, after running a little bit late, i get to cathy's and we all go over to Bikram's Yoga studio in redondo beach. we got there right as class was starting so we were basically late since they need to go over a few things for first timers. they told us to come back for the next class and to come 30mins early.
so we met up with cookie and went to trader joe's to get yogurt and whole foods to get a coconut for benji. we drove back to the studio, filled out forms, waited around, and finally started.
god was it warm in there. just being in there for about 5-10 mins, laying down, you get really warm. i have never sweat that much before. i was dripping sweat where i didn't think i could sweat. it was really uncomfortable when we had our heads down and sweat would slide into my nose. not cool.
but it was so much fun! i don't feel sore yet, just a tiny headache from all the hot/cold temperature changing. i'm kinda hungry since i haven't eaten much of anything all day. we're definitely going back when cathy gets back from santa cruz and doing the 10 day, $30 thing. it's too expensive to keep going. but it was a good experience.

after getting robek's and high tailing it home to take a shower, i got to work and we prepared mari's cake for her birthday. yummy fruit tart cake! ^_^
that's pretty much it for now. i wanna go to joann's to see if they have the ribbon i need [that they didn't have last time]. but i'm kinda tired to go by myself. xD but i need that ribbon dangit. maybe my mom will take me, haha.

雅 -MIYAVI- concerts

so...they were awesome. [warning: long post and lots of CAPS use]
i went to one in LA at Club Nokia with kelly and amanda on saturday. we were so laid-back about it. usually we wanna be near the front of the line and camp all day. but this time? eh. we showed up around 7:30 i think [bridgette was a little late] and even when we got there we didn't get in line. we just hung around talking to ppl and only got in line when the line started moving.
inside, we stood behind the tech area and had a pretty good view. amanda was absolutely hilarious towards the end with ramon's jacket. she looked like a retarded little child. me and kelly were literally on the floor laughing. and she had no idea why.
oh! haha also, i saw these two people i watch on youtube and pretty much spazzed. i'm pathetic. i finally got the courage to go up to them and say hi when we were inside. we basically stood right next to them by the tech area. yeahh...haha the girl was really pretty [and freakin tall in those shoes] but she was nice and asked for my youtube name since she's going to make a video for all those ppl she met at the concert.
anyways, the concert was cool. the words i keep using to describe it are 'chill' and 'jazzy'. he took some of his older songs and reworked them to sound different, adding some keyboard stuff. sounded really different and cool. "ame ni utaeba" has been in my head ever since i woke up today.
afterwards, we saw andrew and talked with him and a few other ppl outside the venue. we ended up going to kouraku on 2nd st. i was so tired. we finally left at 2am.

OMG update

i got into my bio class!!!

i check my email when i get to work and i have a waitlist notification email. from #18 to enrolled OVERNIGHT!!!　that's so cool. i dropped my backup bio class. now only if sign language would work that way too.

also, we have another person in our room for AX. it's this boy kelly is crushing on, haha. that lowered the price a little...but not enough when i have to pay for parking >_<

anyways. that's about it. oh, i also found this cute romper/one piece on charlotte russe. i got an email saying 25% off all rompers and dresses. it looks so soft and comfy to lounge around in. and i've wanted a romper. maybe i can convince my mom to get it for me since it's only about $12 after the discount. and with tax and shipping, it'll come out to about the regular price it's selling at.

but yeah. how freakin' exciting. gareth's brother's girlfriend won tickets at tune in tokyo. they're for the concert on sunday, 13th. apparently it's 2nd row? i don't know how that's working. i thought it would just be a general floor area with pit. at least on the grove of anaheim website it shows "general admission standing" for all 5 tiers. that's alot of tiers. me and kelly are going together. =]

we're also going to his concert the night before at club nokia in downtown. haha two of his concerts in a row. that's going to be tiring but fun.

so it's june. now AX is officially less than one month away. of course, ax has to keep up with its ridiculousness by announcing LAST EFFING MINUTE that the shuttles will not be free this year. sorry george, but we're going to walk if that's okay with you. i can't afford that plus parking. -__-

since it's june, i changed my design! now it's blue. ever since i was little, i associated a certain color with every month. for some reason, june is blue. july is either red/white/blue or a light-ish blue. i don't know what august is. it's my birthday month and i don't have a color for it. i guess it was any sort of summery color. kind of like sunsetting colors because it's towards the end of summer.

this saturday is a hangout day for me, kelly, and amanda. we were supposed to go shopping for my outfit...but i've been finding pieces for it here and there so there's not much i really need from the places we were planning to go to. maybe the fashion district. or we can just hang out and run errands or whatever.
sunday, me and kelly are counting at the SAPS fiesta. yay for yummy food.

as for my waitlisted class updates...
i am #5 for sign language [was #6]. OMG i JUST checked it and it was #5. right when i was about to say that it's never going to change and that i'll never get in. actually, i still don't think i'll get in T__T
i am #18 for preferred bio [was #26]. that was from the last entry. it's been slowly lowering and i saw it at #19.
i'm still waiting to drop my backup bio until the last minute. i need to pay a fee for that class by the 11th. at least i think it's for that class. i'll have to look into that. maybe it's just more fees for the school.
i also signed up for the facilitation class and i signed up for a cardio class. i'll have to find more classes to enroll in if/when i don't get into those two waitlisted classes.

OH! and i almost forgot another cool thing. gareth won tickets to the private preview party thing for World of Color. omg i am so excited. he got 4 tickets and was nice enough to invite me, george, kelly and shou since he's part of another set that his brother won. i swear those ppl are so lucky. it's next tuesday after the park closes. i have no idea what's going to happen but i'm just so excited.
